Wife, mom of two boys, and lover of all things caffeinated! (No, seriously, gimmie all the coffee!) Why did I become a photographer? I could say that it’s because I love taking pictures and being creative. That’s true, but that’s not what drives me. Honestly, I have such a passion for my own family that photography became a natural way to really connect with other parents and families. I adore getting to know my clients, seeing who they truly are as a family, and watching them and their little ones grow over time.
I married the love of my life after graduating from Campbell University, and we are now blessed to have a baby and a 3 year old who (like his mama) is VERY passionate about life! (Well, that and cookies. He may get that from his mama, too.) My daily life consists of messy hair, changing diapers, toddler’s 1st breakfast, coffee, toddlers 2nd breakfast, snack, lunch, and glorious. nap. time. In the midst of that, I also manage to run a small business and sneak in quality time with those I love the most!
My husband Dave and I love working together to put cherished images into the hands of local families in all life stages, from engagements to babies to grandparents. But we have a special place in our hearts for the all-too-fleeting season of young childhood. I know how quickly it goes, and I want my camera around to soak up every ounce of it!
What you should know about me as your family’s photographer
I specialize in outdoor, natural light photography. My style has the graceful look of traditional portraits, but with a hint of boldness. I meticulously edit every photo to look its best, but still leave you with a clean and natural look. I have been doing family photography for over 7 years, and I never stop learning and improving my craft. I work extremely well with young children and have a magic knack for getting everyone to look at the camera at the same time!
My name is Dave, and I promise not to take your picture! I won’t even think about touching the editing computer unless I’m fixing it. (But I would absolutely love to create a website tailored for your small business or church!) As Stephanie’s husband and partner, I take care of the logistics so that she can focus on all things creative.
